Although we can expect a large sign-up of members—which could justify a lower membership fee or price for a share of voting stock—the cost of membership will be high enough to show commitment. However, the cooperative will provide incentives for those who make a commitment to be founders of the business. Additionally, fees or stock prices for membership will increase over time so as to encourage prospective members not to delay joining.
